Monkeying around....

Today Shaun and I decided to go to my grandparents and BBQ because I have really been in the mood for some yummy barbecued chicken. My grandparents are out of town and they have an amazing BBQ so we went over there and hung out for awhile and barbecued then enjoyed the yummy food, after that we decided to play on their swing set for a little while. I know we are both in our 20's and probably a little old to be trying to do flips off the swing set...like I tried, but we still had a ton of fun!! We definitely wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and the daylight that lasted till almost 9pm. It was nice to spend time with Shaun before he has to go out of town tomorrow to work.

Las Vegas!!!!

On the 15th of May Shaun and I drove to Las Vegas partly for his brithday, and to get away, and mostly because our dad (Shaun's dad) was getting married on the 16th at the Graceland chapel. We had a blast being with family! Shaun's brother, Brandon and his adorable wife Krysten, and Shaun's sister Shannon came to Vegas to be there for the ceremony as well.
The first day we got there, the other siblings hadnt arrived yet so Shaun and I went to lunch at the yummy buffet with his dad and his finace. After that I got to go get a manicure and pedicure with Sue (his finace) for her big day! After that Shaun and I went to the Tournament of Knights show and had a great time! It was the first show I have ever seen in Las Vegas on the Strip so I was super excited! After the show we walked around a bit, and enjoyed being together. Later that night around 11:30 Brandon and Krysten arrived in Vegas so we got to spend time with them! We talked for a while and then made a late night ice cream run...except by the time we got back Shaun and I were pooped so we went to be...WITHOUT ICE CREAM! It was lame.
The next day was wedding day!!!
We woke to Shannon getting there. She couldnt come till Saturday morning so she got there around 9am. After she arrived we made a yummy breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. After that we went down to the pool and went swimming..I decided I needed to work on my tan...or start one, so I only swam for a little while. After we went swimming and went back to the room we cleaned up and went to lunch at the yummy buffet AGAIN!
Then it was time to get ready for the wedding! We went to the Graceland chapel, where they were married by Elvis. It was really fun and it was a sweet ceremony. Jason and Sue are such a cute couple and we all FELL IN LOVE with Sue when we met her. After the wedding we went back to their room which was just down the hall from ours, and we had some yummy food and lots of Sparkling Apple Cider. The party came to an end, and we said goodbye to Shannon who was leaving to make it back in time for her responsibilities at church. After that Shaun and I went walking up the Strip with Brandon and Krysten and saw the Bellagio Water Show, parts of the Pirate Show and we also saw an assortment of people....We walked around until very early morning then woke up just in time for check out. It was an amazing trip and we had so much fun with Shauns brother and his wife, and it was awesome to see family and be there for Jason and Sue's Wedding!!!!

Sue and me before we went into the ceremony. She looked absolutely stunning, and she is an amazing and very sweet woman.
While we were in Vegas our dad, got married at the Graceland chapel, by Elvis! It was awesome, and surprisingly a very classy wedding ceremony. This is the wedding party minus Sue's son.

Shaun and me....getting bored waiting for the Valet to bring the car...Short attention spans
Our dad, Jason, and his new wife Sue! This is right after we ate at the awesome buffet in Excalibur while we were waiting for Valet to bring the car.
Shaun and I waiting for the Tournament of the Knights show
Excalibur at night. This is where we spent a lot of our time. We went to the Tournament of Knights dinner and show. It was an awesome show, and the food was pretty good, minus having to eat with our hands. We also found an awesome buffet with super yummy food, that is buy one get one free between 2-6pm, so two of us ate for just under 20 dollars!!
This is the hotel where we stayed. Grandview. It was $51 a night on a weekend and it had a full kitchen and a jacuzzi in the master bedroom!! It was amazing, and an awesome deal!
Shaun and I driving to Las Vegas on his birthday!

Shaun's 23rd birthday!

My fabulous and adorable husband turned 23 on May 15th! This picture was taken at midnight ...right when his birthday started. We were leaving to Vegas on the morning of his birthday and since we were up late getting things ready, Shaun wanted to open his presents. I got him Season 7 of Scrubs, and 25 $ itunes gift card, and two Star Treck collectible cups. He also got a $50 gift card from Eric and Lori, and my parents bought us tickets to the Tournament of Knights show at Excalibur in Vegas. It was a good day, and besides having to sit in the car for 6 hours on the drive to Vegas, it was a great day!

APX Party!

Today, May 9th I had my APX work party! Everyone had been waiting for this party to happen because it had already been pushed back two weeks due to bad weather both Saturdays it had been scheduled! Luckily today was a beautiful day and a great day for a PARTY! Shaun and I helped out with the helicopter rides that they were running so we got front row seats! I also won a helicopter ride so both Shaun and I and my two little cousins Sierra, and Madison got to go up in the helicopter. We had a blast! It was a fabulous party with great food, and great prizes, and fun things for everyone to do, like the bouncy toys they had for the kids. Thank you APX for putting on a great party!

Cinco De Mayo

For Cinco De Mayo I made yummy enchiladas, cream corn, mexican style rice, and we had chips and salsa! This dinner was kind of by accident because Shaun and I always plan our dinners out and put them on the calendar, and without even thinking about it being Cinco De Mayo we planned on having enchiladas that night. My kitchen is decorated in chile peppers so I pulled some of the decorations down and the plates we got in Mexico and remembered we got this mexican blanket also. I threw it all together on the table and it made the perfect Cinco De Mayo dinner!

GIRLS WEEKEND!!!

Last week my mom and my younger sister Emilee flew out to Utah for Women's Conference. I was excited to have them stay with me especially since my husband was gone for the majority of the time they were out here visiting. We had a blast after I was home from work and they finished their day at Women's Conference. We got pedicures, we went shopping, and we went out to dinner. We also got to go see 17 Again. I had so much fun with my mom and my sister, definitely a much needed GIRLS WEEKEND! I love them so much and really miss them. I am so grateful for such a fabulous YOUNG mother who wants to do fun things with her girls, even though two of the girls were missing. I love my sister Emilee because she is hilarious and always fun to be with.

The Gardens

A few weeks ago Shaun and I went to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival. We went with our friends Jenna and Kirk Folsom and we had a blast. The night started out at Applebees where we had yummy food for a great price! They had their 2 for 20 deal where you get one appetizer and two entrees! After we ate we drove up and visited the Gardens. Unfortunately the Gardens had only 40% bloom, which was a bummer, and some of us thought that for 40% bloom we should get in at 40% of the price...hmm but it didn't work that way, go figure right? Despite the 40% bloom and the snow storm that came only a week previous to our visit, the flowers were beautiful and it was nice and relaxing to walk around in the fresh air looking at the beauty!
